Mistik mula ditubuhkan pada Mei 1996 di atas sebab utama ialah untuk mengambil alih band Novartor di gig Nocturnal War III. Pada mulanya band Mistik hanyalah band projek, hasil dari gabungan band Vehemet atau Kerrasuk. Asal band Mistik ataupun pengasasnya Akey dan Chie Mistik terpaksa meminta bantuan band Vehemet untuk show tersebut.

Guest writes "Decibel was establish from 1999. The current line up on that time was Apex on bass, Lie on guitar, Isa on vocal and Wan on drum. After Isa left the band because of personal reason in the end of 2000, Apex took place as a vocalist and bassist player. At first decibel played concept like grunge, mellow indie , ska punk and rock also with a little bit of metal element.
